If you have been on the fence of whether or not to hire a Virtual Bookkeeper, take my advice and JUMP! I was on the fence about becoming a Virtual Assistant while being a full time mother. Taking care of a child full time and working full time sounded overwhelming and impossible. Especially for someone who is used to a full time career, working 9 hours, and with a 45 minute commute (one way). I decided to jump, when my son was just 2 months old. Stupid? Yes, Very! However, today I am running a successful Bookkeeping business from the comfort of my own home, built by my awesome clients. I get to have meetings at Starbucks. I get to raise my son and watch him grow into an amazing human being. I get to work with different business owners that ranger from Construction Business to Churches. I get to learn many different business techniques as well as how differently businesses operate. After years of struggling to find the right position, I finally found it; a sole proprietor, who gets to raise her son. I get to cater to my clients the way I see fit. I do not have a boss telling me that I cannot go above and beyond because it may take a little extra time and costs a little extra money to pay me. My favorite part of my job is doing that extra work to make a client happy. If a client contacts me, stating they need a financial report for an emergency situation on a Saturday, you will find me in my office preparing that report. I love what I do and I take pride in what I do. I work 7 days a week. I will keep your business’s very best interest in mind, at all times.
